Enhancements
GenAI Quote Summaries (Oracle CPQ 25B)
In the Redwood Quote UI, Generative AI (GenAI) quote summaries are incorporated into the Ask Oracle assist bar. Ask Oracle acts as an intelligent assistant, guiding users through the quote summary process, offering real-time suggestions, and providing on-demand insights about key components of the quote, such as pricing, discounts, and terms.
Oracle CPQ leverages Generative AI (GenAI) to automatically generate comprehensive quote summaries. Users can then choose to use the generated quote summary when communicating with customers or internal stakeholders, as needed. The new main document Generate Quote Summary type action is used to retrieve the GenAI summary from an integrated Oracle Sales site. The new GenAI quote summaries are available for Redwood Quote UIs and JET Transaction UIs.
GenAI quote summaries provide the following business benefits:
-
Enhanced Communication: Providing a rich, GenAI quote summaries improves the clarity and effectiveness of communications with approvers, buyers, and customers.
-
Time Efficiency: Automating the generation of quote summaries reduces the time and effort required by sales representatives and administrators.
-
Consistency: Ensures consistent and accurate presentation of quote details across different scenarios and communication channels.
After a CPQ administrator creates the GenAI Assist type action, sales users can access and invoke the action from the Ask Oracle assist bar. In the following example the GenAI Assist type action is named Quote Summary.
The GenAI quote summary is displayed at the top of the current view. Sales users can copy or close the summary by clicking the applicable icon in the upper left corner of the summary.
With the Ask Oracle assist bar, users can interact with AI-driven suggestions, customize the summary, ask follow-up questions, and refine the output in real time. This capability ensures that both sales teams and customers receive highly tailored, professional summaries while maintaining full control over the summary content and presentation.
Notes:
-
If the Quote Summary action doesn't exist, refer to Create a Quote Summary Action.

AI-Generated Product Recommendations (Oracle CPQ 25C)
A quoting system that proactively recommends commonly grouped products fulfills critical business needs by enhancing revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. It boosts cross-selling opportunities by suggesting complementary items, increasing order value and profit margins. Customers benefit from a personalized experience, receiving relevant recommendations that simplify decisions. Operationally, the system streamlines quoting processes, reduces manual errors, and improves accuracy. Additionally, it generates data-driven insights, uncovering patterns for inventory management and targeted marketing. Ultimately, this fosters loyalty by positioning the business as a customer-centric partner, offering thoughtful solutions while maintaining competitive differentiation.
The AI-generated product recommendations suggest products to be added alongside the current items in the quote. After adding at least one product to a quote, sales users can see proactive product recommendations when they click Add Products. The product recommendations are based on the most commonly sold products, in the context of the quote. This makes it easier, and faster, for sales users to find the right products for their customers.
The AI-generated product recommendations can increase sales revenue through cross-selling opportunities and boosted profits, optimize efficiency by streamlining quoting and improve accuracy, and support strategic goals with data-driven insights. This feature provides the following benefits:
-
Pattern Recognition: Analyzes purchase histories and customer behaviors to detect correlations between products.
-
Real-Time Insights: Offers dynamic suggestions during the quoting or purchasing process based on up-to-date data.
-
Personalization: Tailors recommendations to individual customer profiles or preferences, fostering a customized experience. Administrators can fine-tune the learning models.
-
Scalability: Efficiently processes large data sets to adapt to growing inventory and diverse customer bases.
-
Strategic Value: Boosts revenue by increasing average order value and provides actionable data insights for marketing and inventory strategies.
Note: Refer to Intelligence Portal for the setup and administration of AI-generated product recommendations.

In the Redwood Quote Designer, administrators can now enhance the quote header by adding a Banner using the Customize Header option. The banner can be positioned either Inline or at the top, allowing teams to highlight important information, brand elements, or contextual messages directly within the quote layout.
Part Custom Fields in Product Search (Oracle CPQ 25B)

Sales users can now use defined Part Custom Fields to further refine product search results when searching for parts to add to a transaction the Redwood Quote UI. View Example
For example, a customer wants their sales users to be able to search parts based on "Size" and "Color". The sales user selects the Type filter, the selects the Parts type.
After the Part type is selected, the "Color" and "Size" Part Custom Fields appear in the filter list.
The sales user can select the available filters and define applicable criteria to filter the search results.
Customers can also display relevant Part Custom Fields in the parts search results. In the following example the "Color", "Size", and "Weight" fields are displayed.
Refer to Part Custom Fields to enable Search Page and Search Page Results for Part Custom Fields.
Price Waterfall (Oracle CPQ 25C)
Price Waterfall Visualization helps businesses determine the factors impacting net revenue and profitability. In the final pricing for a quoted product, several factors come into play, such as pre-set promotions and special pricing for a selected set of accounts based on status, geography, industry, etc. Additionally, sales users can apply manual discounts as part of the negotiation with the customer. Currently, all of this data is captured on the quote, but it is difficult for users to visualize the full picture.
The Price Waterfall Visualization provides sales teams with clear, real-time insight into how final prices are derived, factoring in base price, discounts, promotions, and manual adjustments. This transparency improves sales efficiency, empowers informed customer conversations, supports effective negotiations, and ensures alignment with pricing strategies. By simplifying complex pricing data into a visual format within the Quote UI, it enhances trust, accelerates deal cycles, and boosts both sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Oracle CPQ 25C introduces a quoting price waterfall for the Redwood Quotes UI. The price waterfall enables sales users to view a detailed Price Waterfall Visualization for each quoted product so that they can understand how the final price was derived from various pricing components (like base price, discounts, promotions, and manual adjustments). When enabled, the price waterfall displays in the charge drawer. The Charge Details View displays the charge information and also displays additional selected attributes for price waterfall.
For example, the GENG-201 80kW Natural Gas Generator the base price is $3,500.
-
A Customer Loyalty adjustment, from the Pricing Engine, applies a $250 discount.
-
An Item Surcharge adjustment, from the Pricing Portal, applies an 8% markup.
-
An additional Manual Discount of 15% is also applied by the sales user in the quote.
Users can open the Graph View to display a visualization of the price waterfall. Users can hover over the graph items to display the exact amount for the item.
Users can open the Table View to display a summary of adjustments for the selected charge item.
