Email Designer Approvals, Notifications, and Reminders
Overview
An Email Designer template can be selected for an approval email notification, or as an option when sending a notification email for a Transition Rule. For more information, see Transition Rule Notifications.
Email Designer templates can also be used to design reminder emails that are automatically sent by CPQ. These actions are part of the Submit action set: Cancel Approvals, Reject, and Approve. These reminder emails include:
- The "You no longer need to Approve" email sent to an approver when the Revise sub-action is invoked.
- The "Your Submission has been Rejected" email sent to the user that submitted the Transaction when the Reject sub-action is invoked.
- The "Your Submission has been Approved" email sent to the user that submitted the Transaction when the final Approve sub-action is invoked.

Verify the Subject is added to the email template. Without the Subject, the email approval will not trigger and you will receive the following error: Error while validating e-mail details: Email field 'Subject' must be set.

Within a particular Commerce Process, only one Email Designer template can be selected.

If multiple processes are defined for the site, make sure to modify the email template related/created for the correct process.
