Serial Numbers Attribute Set

Overview

The sub-document (Transaction Line) Serial Number attribute set allows you to store serial number information for each part line item in a transaction. Only one Serial Number attribute set can be added per sub-document. Attribute Sets and Array Sets are listed at the bottom of the Attribute Lists page.

When you create a Serial Number attribute set, the Commerce system automatically generates several fields, each of which has editable characteristics.

Administration

ClosedAdd a Serial Number Attribute Set

Complete the following steps to create a Serial Number Set along with the associated attributes.

  1. Navigate to Admin Home > Quotes > Process > Manage Transaction Line > Attributes.
  2. Click + Attribute, then enter the following information:
  3. Select Serial Number Attribute Set from the Type menu.
  4. Click Create.

ClosedEdit Serial Number Attribute Set Attributes

Complete the following steps to edit Serial Number Attribute Set attribute.

  1. Navigate to Admin Home > Quotes > Process > Manage Transaction Line > Attributes..
  2. Click on the applicable Serial Number attribute set name.

  3. Click on the applicable attribute name.

    Refer to Commerce Attributes for information about editing attributes.

  4. Click the Translations Translations icon icon to add translations.

  5. Select one of the following:

    • Click Save to save changes and remain on the current page.

    • Click Save & Close to save changes and return to the attributes list page.

    • Click Cancel to return to the attributes list page without saving changes.

ClosedDelete a Serial Number Attribute Set

Complete the following steps to delete a Serial Number Attribute Set along with the associated attributes.

  1. Navigate to Admin Home > Quotes > Process > Manage Transaction or Manage Transaction Line > Attributes..
  2. Select Delete from the Serial Number attribute set Actions menu.
  3. Click Delete.
