Partner Organization Stylesheets And Branding

Overview

The look and feel of Partner Organization user pages can be individually customized on a Partner-by-Partner basis.

Features include:

Administration

Use an individual Partner Organization’s Company Administration page to upload an alternate Partner Organization CSS file. The Stylesheet section of the Partner Company Administration page now has options to select an alternate CSS file and to remove it once one has been uploaded. The styling defined within this partner-based, CSS file applies to all user pages, but only for users within that Partner Organization.

ClosedUnderstanding Stylesheet Conflicts and Partner CSS Files

The order in which styling is applied for Host Company user pages has not been affected.

A Partner Organization’s alternate CSS file is applied after all other Host Company styling. When conflicting styling is identified, the styling within the stylesheet with the most precedence will be used. Partner Organization Alternate CSS files always have full precedence. For more information on stylesheet precedence, see the topic Stylesheet Precedence.

ClosedTips and Considerations for Partner CSS Files

  • Partner Organization Alternate CSS files cannot be added or managed via Bulk Download/Upload. For more information, see the topics Bulk Downloads and Bulk Uploads.
  • Company logo images linked directly in the site header are still managed using the Header & Footer page. Navigate to the Admin Home Page and click Header & Footer in the Style and Templates section.
  • CSS settings are applied based on the page being viewed, not necessarily the access rights of the viewer. For example, both an admin and a sales user looking at a user-facing page will see the same user-side CSS settings. Similarly, an admin logging in to a Partner Organization by using a proxy login will see the partner CSS styles.
  • On user-facing pages, a user will automatically see the changes indicated by the CSS file. A user does not have to do anything to see the changes.
Occasionally, a user may not see all style changes on a page if the page is cached in their browser. If the styling does not look as expected, the user should both clear their browser’s cache and reload the page.
  • There is no Partner-specific mobile stylesheet.
