eSignature Attribute Set

Overview

The eSignature Attribute Set holds eSignature Attributes. Attribute Sets and Array Sets are listed at the bottom of the Attribute Lists page.

The main document (Transaction) eSignature Attributes Set is provided with the Standard Process. This attribute set and the associated attributes cannot be deleted from a Standard Process.

When you create an eSignature Attribute Set (for non-Standard Process), the Commerce system automatically generates three composite fields, each of which has editable characteristics.

The File Attachment attribute holds the documents to be sent to the eSignature Vendor

eSignature Recipients [eSignature Attribute Set]

The Recipients holds the emails and names of the intended recipients

eSignature Date Modified [eSignature Attribute Set]

Date

The Date Modified field contains the date of the most recently performed action on this document

eSignature Envelope ID [eSignature Attribute Set]

The Envelope ID is a hidden field that is sent along with the document to the eSignature Vendor

The Status field contains the current status of this document

Administration

ClosedAdd an eSignature Attributes Set (Only available for Non-Standard Process)

Complete the following steps to create an eSignatures Set along with the associated attributes.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Process Definition.
  2. Select Attributes from the main document Navigation drop-down, and then click List.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter the Label and Variable Name of the attribute set.

  5. The Variable Name field populates automatically. Variable names can only contain alpha-numeric characters and underscores. The entry can be changed before saving, but after saving the value is read-only.

  6. Select eSignatures Set from the Attribute Type drop-down.

  1. Click Add.


ClosedEdit eSignature Attribute Set Attributes

Complete the following steps to edit an eSignatures Set attribute.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Process Definition.
  2. Select Attributes from the main document Navigation drop-down, and then click List.
  3. Click on the applicable eSignatures Set name.
  4. Click on the applicable attribute name.
  5. Refer to Commerce Attributes & Array Sets for information about different attribute types and editing attributes.
  6. After you have finished your edits, click Apply or Update.
