If the approver is a member of a group, and their group membership is why they got the approval request, they cannot delegate approvals.

Notes

  • If a user sets a delegated approver while they have quotes in their approval queue, the delegated approver can approve/reject those quotes.
  • However, the delegate will not receive an email notification as they were not the delegate when the reason became active.
  • Delegated approvers will not be able to approve quotes if they do not have access to the Transaction. This would happen because the delegated approver did not have access to a particular step.
  • This functionality is only applicable if the Approval diagram process (grid structure) is in use. This is not available when using Workflow Steps.
Delegated approvers is not supported for group approvals.
