-
The Supremo Dynamic Adjustment list is a Markup list linked to the Base Price Model. This markup list is linked to the Base Price Model. This markup applies a 25% markup when the following conditions are met: Market = North America, Industry = High Tech, and Sales Channel = Direct.
-
The Sequoi Institute Price Agreement specifies a single $110,000 One-time Price charge.
Note: Price Agreements are always associated with the Base Pricing Rule.
-
The North American Price Adjustment Price Model is a Discount List linked to a Pricing Rule with a 'Market = North America' condition. This discount applies a 10% discount for North America Customers.
Pricing Preview for Products
When the Pricing Preview for GENH-102 is initiated without specifying any other conditions, the Graph View will list a summary of the applied prices (both product prices and charges) for the selected product. The chart displays applied Price Models, prices, and adjustments for the selected charge. Clicking on one of the charges in the upper right side list of charges will display the price calculation details in the lower right side chart or matrix.
In the following example, the $100,000 One-time Price charge and the $500 monthly Recurring Service Fee are applied. Note that the additional pricing items are not included because conditional Pricing Attributes have not been specified. The One-time Price has been selected and the Chart displays the price calculation for that charge. Customers can click on the Recurring Service Fee item to view the graph for that charge.
When the Table View is selected the Applied Pricing Rules, Applied Price Models, adjustments, charge price, and the order of the pricing items are displayed for the selected charge. Note that the Chart View and the Table View display the same pricing calculation details, but in different formats.
Pricing Preview for Products with Contextual Data
When multiple conditional pricing items are defined for a product, the Pricing Preview provides the ability to specify input criteria to preview the pricing impact of contextual data. Customers can specify Header and Line level Pricing Attribute values to view the pricing calculations that would result. All header and line level Pricing Attributes defined in the CPQ Pricing Engine will display as options for selection in the Input Criteria portion of the page, as shown below.
For example, when the following Pricing Attributes are specified: Market = North America, Industry = High Tech, and Sales Channel = Direct.
When the Pricing Attribute criteria is specified the effects of the applicable discount and markup list are displayed in the Graph view. The chart displays the cumulative impacts on the charge item.
Customers can select the Table view for specific details about the applied adjustments. Since applicable Pricing Attributes were specified, the following pricing items are applied:
-
The 25% markup North America, High Tech, and Direct customers.
-
The 10% discount for North America Customers.
The Table view lists the applied Pricing Rules and the sequence of Pricing Rules and Price Models.
When a customer Account is provided, applicable Pricing Agreements are applied to the Pricing Preview.
The final price will honor price items from the Pricing Agreement. As per the Pricing Agreement, only One-time Price charges are applied. The other applicable adjustments are applied and the Price Agreement item displays the adjustments applied to honor the Pricing Agreement of $110,000. Note that the agreement price is the final price returned by the Pricing Engine, even when other discounts or adjustments would otherwise apply.
Pricing Preview for Transaction Items
This function allows the pricing administrator to populate the Pricing Attributes based on an existing quote line and run pricing against the current pricing engine setup. As a result, the pricing seen here can be different from the quote line prices because:
-
The pricing setup data may have been changed after the last time the quote was priced.
-
Pricing Preview does not support adjustments or discounts to configurator pricing such as recommended item price.
Pricing administrators can view Pricing Previews for items in a Transaction by completing the following tasks:
-
Enable the Use Transaction Number option.
-
Enter the applicable Transaction Number.
-
Select the applicable product (either part or BOM Item) from the Product drop-down.
-
Click Pricing Preview.
When the Pricing Preview for the Transaction item is initiated, the Graph View will list a summary of applied charges for the selected product.
