Configuration Administrator-Defined Filters
Overview
Beginning in 20A, administrators can define display filters for the Bill of Material lists. When enabled, administrators can use parts and product attributes to define filter conditions to display only relevant items.
Note: The Configuration Administrator-Defined Filter is only available for the JET Configuration UI.
When the Configuration Filter is enabled, administrators can add a filter to the Recommended Items page template to exclude irrelevant items for sales users.
For example: The Bill of Materials list in JET Configurator UI shows all the BOM items as a result of the BOM Mapping Rules. A subset of the BOM items in this list, though useful for downstream fulfillment systems, are considered internal to the customer and not relevant for the sales users.
After the Advanced Configuration Row Filters are defined and the Recommended Items page template is saved, all "Internal" type parts are excluded from the Bill of Material lists.
