Administration

Sections are used to display line items, attributes, and array sets.

ClosedAccess Customize Section

To access Customize Section settings:

  1. Open or create a Redwood quote, then click Design.

  2. Click the applicable view.

  3. Click the applicable section.

  4. Click Customize Section Settings icon

ClosedPromote a Section to View

  • Click Promote to view to promote the current section to a view.


ClosedCustomize Section Name

  • Enter desired text in the Update <Section Name> to customize the section name.


ClosedCustomize Section Layout

  • Click Available Layouts.

  • Set the column layout for the current section:

    Respnsive Layout  Responsive Layout (automatically adjusts the number of columns based on the browser width)

    One Column Layout  One Column Layout

    Two Column Layout  Two Column Layout

    Three Column Layout  Three Column Layout

    Four Column Layout  Four Column Layout


ClosedCustomize Section General Settings (Section Width, Field Width, Read Only)

  • Click Styles, then click General to set the following options:

    Setting Description

    Whote Width icon  Section Takes Whole Row

    Enable is setting to expand the section to occupy the entire width of the view.

    This setting will override the View multi-column layout setting.

    Full Width Field icon  Full Width Field

    Enable this setting to expand applicable attributes to occupy the entire width of the section.

    Reda Only icon  Read Only

    Displays section in Read Only mode.

    When Read Only is enabled, users can click the Edit icon Edit icon to edit fields.

    Then users can click inside a field to edit an attribute, or they can click the Close icon X to return to Read Only mode.

ClosedCustomize Label Position for Attributes

  • Click Styles, then click Label.

  • Select the position for attribute labels.

    • Inside displays the label inside the attribute field during Edit mode.

      The label displays above the attribute in Read Only mode.

    • Start displays the label to the left of the attribute field.

    • Top displays the label above the attribute field.

ClosedCustomize Section Font

  • Click Styles.

  • Click Fonts to select a font for the current section.


ClosedCustomize Section Background for Custom Grid Layout

When the Orientation for a view is Custom Grid Layout, administrators can apply backgrounds and textures to individual view sections.

  • Click Styles.

  • Click Background.

  • To apply a background color, select Inherit Background from the Background drop-down. A complementary color is applied from the selected Theme.

  • To customize the section text color, select Dark, Light, or Contrast from the Text drop-down.

  • To apply a texture, select one of the texture options from the Texture drop-down. Textures can be applied to sections with or without backgrounds.

ClosedView or Delete Section Attributes

  • Click Displayed Attributes to view attributes displayed in the section.

  • Click the attribute Delete icon Full Width Field icon to remove an attribute from the section.

To reorder attributes, click on an attribute in Customize Section. Then drag-and-drop the attribute into the desired location.


ClosedAdd an Attribute or an Array Set to a Section

  • Click Available Attributes to view and search for attributes to add to the section.

  • Click the Add icon + to add the associated attribute or array set.

  • You can also drag-and-drop the attribute into the Customize Section.

ClosedDelete a Section

  • Click Delete Section to remove a section from the current view.
