Administration Logs
Overview
Administration Change Logs maintain time stamped logs of administrative changes in Commerce, Configuration, Data Tables, and Util Library. All add, update, delete and deploy events in these modules are recorded with the details of the user that performed them.
By default, the log of the current month is displayed in reverse chronological order so that the most recent information is on the top and oldest information is at the bottom. The FullAccess user can search for logs between a given period of time or by the last 6 months. After searching for logs, the results can be downloaded in CSV format. The Administration Change Log displays the following information for each entry: user name, action type, section, log message, date, and time. The CSV file also contains a reference id for each entry.
Oracle CPQ 22A introduced a maximum number of Administration Log records available to display within the Oracle CPQ User Interface. The default value is 1000 records with the records displayed in the order of latest date/timestamp to earliest date/timestamp based on the specified filtering criteria. If after applying date range filters the Administration Log results exceed 1000 records, a message displays indicating that a complete list of the records can be downloaded in a .CSV file.

Notes
- All implicit actions are recorded in the logs when the FullAccess user performs an add, update, delete, or deploy type operation.
- Example: If the FullAccess user updates the Document Views tab of a Commerce attribute, updates to the attribute and the implicit update to the workflow step are both recorded in the logs.
